Orillia is one step closer to having its long-awaited replacement secondary school.
While the bid by Tambro Construction Ltd., of Guelph, came in below the province-approved budget of $28,661,281, the project is expected to cost more. The SCDSB approved Tambro’s bid of $25,678,000, but the board is also budgeting nearly $4.7 million for contingencies, professional fees, furniture and other costs. The total budget is $30,374,496. The tender must be approved by the Ministry of Education before it can be awarded.
